Penelope

Dandelion Meadows Penelope Rose *P (MDGA) *D (TMGR)
 Born 3/19/18, one of Triplets
Dual Registered MDGA and TMGR F3 American!

Penelope is Emma's doe, and while she still needs improvement through the top-line, and higher rear udder attachments, there is so much to love about this girl.  Penelope's striking coloration and beautiful breed character is quite an eye catcher.  She has fabulous feet and pasterns, good depth of chest, strong brisket and ribs.  She has better udder attachments than her mother and smoother blending to her fore-udder.  She is also a dream to milk! She is easy on the hands and fills that bucket in no time.  As icing on the cake, Penelope seems to have very good parasite resistance naturally.

Every year except as a FF, Penelope has given us quads or triplets.
In 2020 on milk test day, she gave us 7.7lbs of milk  with a whopping 5.5% milk fat, which earned her not only her milk star, but a place in the top 10 mini-nubians for 2020 with 93 points! She is putting about 3.5 lbs in the bucket on a 12 hour fill about 4 month into her lactation this year which I am very happy with. She does have a shorter lactation curve than some of our other does, which I think contributes to her being able to keep condition so well, but it makes for her being a very easy keeper!

Penelope took first place in her class in the 2022 spring v-show and the fall v-show, plus best udder in class. She took second place at the live MDGA/TMGR show at the Oregon State fair and third place udder, as well as she and her daughter Jasmine took first place in the Dam and Daughter class. Fall MDGA v-show 2023 she took Grand Champion and best udder of breed under both judges, and we couldn't be more proud!

We freshened her first daughter last year. See Jazzy's page here.
