EMBRY

"Embry"
Soaring Hearts Embry
MDGA registered F1 Experimental
DOB 4/6/19

Embry came to us from Snohomish Washington. His erstwhile owner connected with me at the Oregon State fair this year after looking at my goats. She said she had just the bucklings for us. Embry is 37.5% Nubian and 62.5% Nigerian.  Given that he is such high percentage Nigerian, Embry might not be a good fit for a lot of breeding programs, but for us with our large high percentage Nubian does, he was perfect.

Embry would have inherited a  milk star from both sire and dam, however, since his sire is purebred Nigerian and is not registered with the MDGA, he does not.  He is in my mind a B* buck, however.  Embry took 2nd in his class under judge Ed Kinser and 4th under judge Regina Tarvo in the 2020 Summer V-show.   He has a long flat wide rump and beautiful back leg set.

In 2021 we made the difficult decision to re-home all the bucks that were not throwing the breed character we wanted, and all Embry's babies had airplane ears, so he went to a home where he will be bred to full-blood nubians, hopefully correcting this issue while continuing to bring more gorgeous mini-nubians into this world.

We retained his daughter Daphne and can't wait to see how she develops!!

Quil and Embry's Dam: Soaring Hearts Esme *P

According to Esme's owner, Esme milks like turning on a faucet and her udder is buttery soft.  She produces over 10lb of milk a day, and has had easy pregnancies and labors.  She has great rear udder height, a nice medial, and carries all that milk beautifully.  I also got to meet her when picking up these guys, and she is just as pretty in real life with an elegant carriage, and very dairy skin.

 Quil's Sire, HIGHLAND RANCH 8SR IT'S PAYDAY *B
is an ADGA purebred Nigerian who came from Highland Ranch in Snohomish Washington. He was chosen to breed to Esme to improve foreudder extension and bring down size.
More pictures and info about him can be found on Highland Ranch's website: https://www.highland-ranch.com/bucks
