Tippsy Hills RB Chrysanthemum Pearl 2*P FMCH (MDGA), 2*D (TMGR) Born 3/7/17, one of Twins Dual Registered MDGA and TMGR F3 American! Chrysanthemum was our first bottle baby, and as such she is a bit spoiled. She has a great deal of ear control, and can go from the classic "droopy" Nubian look to a silly airplane depending on how interested she is in what is going on. She has a beautiful top line that she passes onto her babies! Chrysanthemum's udder is really high and tight with good attachments and a beautifully blended fore-udder.
Her dam, Tippsy Hills PT Luna earned her *P as a first freshener with a total of 1329 lbs of milk and 76 lbs of butterfat on a 305 day test!!! Chrysanthemum peaked at 7 lb a day as a first freshener continued to give us 4 lb even late into her lactation. Her second freshening, she peaked at over 9 lb a day, and on milk test day gave us 8.5lb with 3.4% milk fat (milk fat will increase through her lactation)! This earned her milk production star in 2020 as well as a place in the top 10 mini-nubians for the year with the MDGA for production weight on a 1-day test with 8.5lbs! Chrysanthemum would do great on a 305 test as well, as she keeps her production high throughout her lactations, whereas some of my other does tend to drop off after a few months. We did not do any milk testing in 2021 as the pandemic made the year quite difficult for us. 2022 and 2023 we again did not officially milk test but Chrysanthemum topped her production at 9.5lbs.
Chrysanthemum won Champion mixed breed at the Linn County 4-H diary goat competition in 2018. In 2019, she took Champion mixed breed again and second best doe in show at the Linn County 4-H dairy goat competition. At the 2019 Oregon State Fair Chrissy took second in her class. Spring of 2020 Chrysanthemum won Champion in the virtual show under judge Regina Tervo, earning her first leg towards her VCH. Summer of 2020, Chrysanthemum won Reserve Champion in the virtual show under judge Ed Kinser. Summer of 2021, Chrysanthemum won Grand Champion and Best Udder in breed in all three rings at the PNW Mini Dairy goat show, and best in show in 2 of the 3 rings, earning her Permanent Grand Champion Status!!!! In the 2023 year she got outclassed by Penelope for Grand Champion in the fall v-show (she was not fully uddered up in her pictures) but took Reserve champion under Judge Ed Kinser.
