Polled and Moonspotted!
This little doeling is the culmination of a 4 year plan we have been working towards to cross Chrysanthemum and Penelope's lines.
Last year we retained Pepperberry, a full sibling to Ruby. I am so glad we retained Ruby too, as we freshened Pepperberry as a yearling and she is showing us amazing capacity, buttery dairy skin, and good solid udder structure! Ruby so far seems to have a more correct topline than Pepperberry, and she also has the beautiful buttery dairy skin. We are excited to see how she matures!
Her Dam Chrysanthemum is a finished champion through MDGA and has had multiple Grand and reserve wins through MDGA v-show, although she has not achieved her permanent VGCH yet. You can read more about her dam here.
We let her sire go after 2 seasons to another farm as Chrysanthemum was the only goat we had that he was not related to, but have retained 2 daughters to keep working in our small herd.
You can read more about her sire here.
