We are going to be mostly taking a break in 2026 from our goat breeding. We will still have just a few babies available.
Rhubarb + Wells
|
Dandelion Meadows BCFR Rhubarb
bred to Rolling Hills Wells *B f4 babies Ruby is another little girl out of Chrysanthemum and Apollo (Jasmine's son). Ruby did great this last year as a first freshener. She was a good little mama. She showed middle of the pack at the shows she was a part of. She just needs some time to mature still. Ruby will be bred to Wells this year. I am hoping to solidify some of the improvements to body structure and capacity I have been working towards through this breeding. Ruby should easily obtain her milk star next year. Polled and moonspotted babies possible. We may retain first pick doeling. All other babies available. Preference given to showing and testing homes. |
Chrysanthemum + Wells
|
Tippsy Hills RB Chrysanthemum Pearl FMCH 2*P, 2*D
bred to Rolling Hills Wells *B f4 babies Roaning and Moon spots possible. We bred Chrissy and Wells last year and got one lovely little buckling, that we ended up selling as a bottle baby. This will be our last year breeding Chrysanthemum as I want her to be able to enjoy retirement, so we decided to repeat this breeding to try one last time to get a daughter. We used Wells on both Ruby and Chrissy this year and he is going to a new home as we cut back on our breeding program. Wells brought in new some genetics from the east coast which I love. I also really appreciate his strong feet and legs and hope he will solidify some general appearance traits in our herd. Both Wells and Chrysanthemum have a nice mellow temperament. Chrissy has her permanent championship and carries her milk star. She has a capacious udder with a beautiful texture and teats that are perfect for hand milking. She has a long lactation curve and peaked at 10+ lbs last year. She made top 10 for MDGA 1 day milk testing in 2020! I am planning to retain first pick buckling or doe out of this pairing. |
