Dandelion Meadows Jasmine Rose 2*D, 2*P
will be bred to BCF Legacy's PG Robinhood*B, *S f3 babies due April 2025 This is a repeat breeding from last year as we absolutely loved the babies we got from Robinhood. All 3 babies showed improvements in areas that I was hoping to improve in Jasmine. All of Robinhood's babies (even his driveway breedings to a mini lamancha) were brown with white overlay, so I feel pretty confident in predicting brown babies with white overlay. We were lucky to get to several shows this summer. We brought home a reserve championship on Robinhood in June, and Jazzy got reserve champion, and best udder in breed, and best udder in show at the Roseberg show, then, Grand champion breed, best udder in breed, supreme doe in show and best udder in show at the Oregon State fair! I will not be freshening the daughter we kept this upcoming year so I won't have any udders to see yet, but the genetics are there for some stellar udder attachments, as well as some improvement to front end set and a improvement to length and levelness of rump. Also, hopefully Robinhood will bring a little additional teat length to Jazzy's offspring. She has wonderful texture to her udder and teats, but my larger hands prefer a little more length for hand milking. All kids from this pairing will be available with preference given to showing and testing homes. (I already have a tentative waiting list for Jazzy kids, so if you want to get on it, please let me know ASAP) |
Tippsy Hills RB Chrysanthemum Pearl FMCH 2*P, 2*D
bred to Rolling Hills Wells *B f4 babies March 2025 Moon spots possible. We brought Wells in last year after breeding season was over so we did not get a chance to use him last year. This very handsome buck brings in new genetics from the east coast. Both Wells and Chrysanthemum have a nice mellow temperament. Chrissy has a capacious udder with a beautiful texture and teats that are perfect for hand milking. She has a long lactation curve and peaked at 10+ lbs last year. I am taking reservations for these kids. |
Dandelion Meadows DMA Pepperberry
bred to BCF Legacy's PG Robinhood *B *S f4 babies due April, 2024 Polled and moonspots possible! This is a repeat breeding from last year. They had twin bucklings that were super adorable, but alas, not female, so they went to a great pet home. There are some fabulous genetics in this cross, including Soaring Hearts, Blackberry, Green Gables, and more! Berry showed her dairy breeding as a yearling FF. I did not milk test her but she likely could have earned her star. She peaked at around 6lb, and has a lovely texture and capacity to her udder. She is currently my favorite goat in the barn to milk. I am excited about this cross with Robinhood, as I am hoping to cross Berry's line's high production with Robinhood's line's great udder attachments. The beautiful topline Robinhood brings to the table is also a plus. I am planning to retain a doeling from this cross this year, but I expect all other kids from this pair to be available. |
